The Obligatory Halloween Pictures

We spent the afternoon hunting down costumes. Remind me to never again put off costume shopping for Halloween afternoon. ToysRUs had them all 50% off, but only creepy stuff was left. They were supposed to be community service type people and those aren't scary - other than the criminal type community service types. And cheerleaders, but she didn't want to be that.
Party City still had them at regular price and also had little selection left. But they did still have a police officer and a fireman and a clown in the boys' section, and some princesses, a couple fairies, and Raggedy Ann in the girls' section. We went to Target where I began to realize that they could just go costume free and be plenty scary. Target triggers something their brain. Or maybe its some supernatural thing going. Michael probably had some freaky spell put on us so that they'd act like insane little monsters every time we go in there so I can't concentrate on shopping and therefore spend less money.
We found no costumes though. Or no good ones. They had a soldier costume - but it was like one of the old school plastic suit things. $20 for a plastic camo jacket and helmet. Who told them that was worth $20? So we went back to Party City and you'll see the results below.
A successful halloween though, is measured by how early they go to sleep.
This is them pre-Fall Festival, around 5:30:

This is them in the driveway at home, around 7:15:

Now I need to go eat all the candy.

Yeah, the more I look at that one pic, the creepier it gets. It wasn't as bad at other angles - and it really wasn't meant to be creepy. The pic i copied it from looked fun. Oh well. Next time I'll actually take TIME to do it, instead of doing it in 5 minutes in a parking lot. If there ever is a next time. Face paint sucks.
