Oh, the meeting

I did NOT zone out during the meeting even though there was not a single piece of information handed out that I didn't already know. I feel for these other spouses who have no clue what is going on. Am I really the only one who already knew what week my husband is expected home? I got some free magnets though, one of which has every phone number for this area that I might ever need - other than my favorite pizza place.
Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention - he's getting promoted! After over a year of waiting, he'll finally go up a rank.
Also worth of mention - if you are in charge of snacks for a 7 PM meeting, and you know there will be lots of kids there, especially knowing that those kids are currently being taken care of by just ONE parent... don't make that snack lots of cookies with extra sugar actually added on top. Please. Are they actually trying to make us need all that counseling that they offered? The Army Community Service that they need to provide is "bed tucker inner's for when some idiot fed the kids sugar at 7 PM." And yes, I could have denied my children the joy of the bright orange sugar cookies, even though every other kid in the building had them. But you sometimes have to choose your battles. Then, they told us there was free childcare available. Hooray!! What they didn't mention, was that the nice young man who they assured us is a fireman so he's trained in CPR and all that good stuff... was armed with more cookies to keep the children content. Lets just say that when the meeting ended and I got my children, they proceeded to run laps. I felt like every other person in the room, especially the man trying to vacuum up the crumbs, was in shock over the horrible behavior of my two darling children. Did I mention that while they ran laps, they were eating more cookies? Dropping more crumbs.

Now, I'm starving. But don't want to eat because all food is gross anyway, so whats the point? I'm told that if I exercise, my appetite will pick up some, and the taste thing fades away eventually. But I'm just so lazy!
