I forgot to mention that in my registration paperwork, it said that prior to 34 weeks, if I plan to travel outside of this area (city and military base listed) I should discuss that with my provider. It didn't say "between 20 and 34 weeks." It said "prior to 34 weeks." So, if I want to drive to the beach, which is 2 hours away, I'm supposed to tell them first. Or to a good mall, which is a bit over an hour away. If my mom flies in and decides to go to the airport that is over an hour away, do I need to check with them first?
It then said that after 36 weeks, travel outside this region was absolutely not recommended, which is understandable at least. However, I was disturbed that there was no mention of that time between 34 and 36 weeks. At 35 weeks, you are free to travel as far as you want. You can drive across the country for all they care - as long as its only between 34 and 36 weeks.
Raise your hand if you really think I'll be calling them up to request permission to drive up to Raleigh for the Old Navy store that has maternity clothes in stock, or to go to the beach once it warms up, or to go to GA around Easter (which I hope to do). My hope is to have no more communication with them after I get my ultrasound. After 20 weeks, I'm high tailing it out of there! And driving to the beach! Maybe even overnight!
