So, when I went for my BIG grocery shopping yesterday, I did not have the same problem with overloading on the sugar. I've eaten half the bag of mint chocolate truffle patties, but only had one bowl of ice cream so far. After I actually ate supper that night, i didn't feel quite the need for sugar that I'd felt earlier.
Yesterday, we'd just eaten and it made my stomach hurt to even LOOK at more food. I managed though. But I didn't even WANT to go on the candy aisle.
The aisle I did go down, was the tea aisle. Not only did I go down the tea aisle, I passed two different seasonal Celestial Seasonings displays. One was for their apple cider mixes. There were three options, I got two. See - self control! Just like I only got 5 of the 10 possible Ben and Jerry's that I'd wanted. I got the Apple Caramel Kiss and the Harvest Apple Spice. Which aren't actually teas, but whatever. Then I passed the new holiday tea display - Sugar Plum Spice, Nutcracker Sweet, and Gingerbread House. I didn't get the Gingerbread one.
Plus, I got another box of the Echinacea Complete Care and a new cannister of Folgers Cappuchino mix. But mainly, I love my Celestial Seasonings. Pretty soon though, I'll run out of cabinet space. The teas/drink mixes did share a shelf with the medicines (no where good to keep them in the bathroom, the kids would be able to reach). But I had to move the medicines to a new home, on the same shelf with some assorted plastic disposable container thingies. To make room for more drink mixes/teas. I think I might have an addiction.
Oh, vent of the day - how come the PX had tights in every size and color, OTHER than anything in the 4-6 size?? The child needs tights but they were out, other than one pair of black ones. But I'm not going through the checkout just for ONE pair of tights, I'll just have to look other places to see if its a county-wide conspiracy against girls in size 4, or if other places are kind enough to keep a decent supply up. Also - why must all kids socks have like, 1 inch thick soles? We're in the south - it doesn't get so cold that our toes freeze without thick socks, unless we're wearing light weight shoes. Even as far north as NC, its just not that cold. So keep the more lightweight socks in stock all year, please! Especially when its freakin 80 degrees in November!
