I forgot to write about Mikayla's birthday. We had a party, it was fun. It was our basic, simple "gather friends and let the kids run and play and then sugar them up and let them run and play some more" party. This time, it was near 90 degrees, so I bought water guns at Party City. She's 7. You know me, pictures will show up eventually. I've gotten a lot of comments recently on how pretty she is. I'm hoping to talk her into brushing her hair on a regular basis soon.
Xander is nearly potty trained, but he'll be having surgery on the 15th, so I go back and forth on whether I'm encouraging him to finish training or not. The good news was that the ureter does not have an obstruction, the urologist believes it is just a kink. However, because the reflux is pretty bad on one side, and that kidney is not in the greatest shape, and he does not expect Xander to outgrow the reflux, we're now going the surgical route. We'll be going in pretty early on the 15th, don't know the time of surgery yet, and then he'll be admitted and spend the night, and go home on the 16th if all goes well. I've got to find a hotel nearby so that Gabriel and I don't have to come all the way home that night. I'm assuming that all 3 of us can't spend the night in there with him, probably just Michael.
Lately, he's just a wild and crazy hilarious 2 year old.
Gabriel is cooing, and has just starting putting things in his mouth to gnaw on them. He's generally happy as long as he has a face to laugh at.
Aaric has completed his year as a Wolf Cub and is now a Bear!
We're loving the new house. It's not my favorite floor plan ever, but we like it okay. We also have great neighbors. We've got chaplains, and a lot of other great families surrounding us.
