Photographic Evidence

In December, I got a good bit of hair cut off. When Mikayla saw it, she asked if she could get hers cut that short. Michael told her she absolutely could not.

The kids and I ate dinner tonight at O'Charley's, and we had some caramel apple pie thingie for dessert. Xander brushed his pie-coated hand past Mikayla's head and her hair got a bit sticky.

Three hours later, I walked past the kitchen trash can and saw this at the top:

I yelled for her to come in, and asked what happened. "There was cake in my hair!" "We have shampoo for that!!"

She looked like this:

Because tomorrow is Sunday, I had no choice but to make her at least look presentable for church. But as you can see from the above, I really had no choice. Really. Aaric is willing to testify in my defense.

It currently looks like this:

I'll have to wait until it dries to see, I think it may need a few layers put in by a professional, since she did take quite a chunk from the side of her head. But the most obvious stuff is better.

And since I had the scissors out... see, I'd just told Michael earlier today that poor Xander always has hair in his eyes and really did need his bangs trimmed. He protested, but I insisted that it must be done, and he relented. It may not be perfect, but the kid is 16 months old, he only sits still for .02 seconds.
