Missing Finger Update

You guessed it - its still missing.
Seriously though...
They went to the specialist today and he thinks its actually healing quite nicely. The doctor came in, sat down and said, "Well young man, what have you done?" He replied, "I cut off my finger!" There ya have it! He is a very petite little 3 yr old, I think the doctor wasn't expecting such a clear answer.
he says its healing well and he doesn't think they need to remove the joint. So no surgery. My mother-in-law/his Nana will be putting some enzyme stuff on it to get it cleaned out real good - she hadn't done it before only because she wanted to wait and see what all the doctor said about it first.
So, I guess the finger tale is over. Unless they wind up later deciding to get a toe attached. That would be fun, and the other doctor DID suggest it. Sister in Law seemed pretty freaked out by that idea though.

In other news...
I won't say anything official until I know for sure.
But I haven't heard from Michael today. I'm assuming its because the phone lines this morning/his evening in Kuwait were too long. Otherwise, he's just being a meanie and not calling me while he sits around in Iraq waiting on their flight. Which would be just plain rude, and totally uncalled for.

I may as well also add my little vent... WHY DOES UPS HATE ME???? WHY AM I THE LAST STOP OF THE DAY EVERY SINGLE TIME??? And why do I refresh the tracking screen every time, AFTER it has already said "out for delivery" - as if its going to say "approximately 8 miles from your house, with 13274 stops to go" on the status page?? Though, once, I refreshed and was shocked to see that it said "Delivered." I never saw the truck, but sure enough, there was a box on the porch. Creepy. I think that was Fed Ex. They're sneaky. {just a pissed off update. its now 8:23. still "out for delivery." it does not take 12 hours to make the drive from the UPS warehouse to here. I promise.}

Also, one last thing. Notice that the coding is fixed right so that my sidebar is back where it belongs? Yeah, I'm a genius. No, really its that blogger is stupid. I swear. I took the google ad out because i wasn't making anything off of it anyway, and its what screwed the coding up. But still, i couldn't get the sidebar fixed. SO I saved my whole template in word, then redid the whole thing. started from scratch, redid the template, read through them both side by side to find the differences. The only differences were the stuff i had in the sidebar and the counter, both of which areas are now coded *exactly* the way they were before. But stupid blogger needed me to clear it all out and enter it all in again, to recognize that. So now it works.
